FLICK hosts community spaces where you can post, comment and interact. These guidelines supplement the Terms and Conditions of Use and set out, in accordance with Article 14 of the European Digital Services Act (DSA), what is expected of everyone and how moderation works.
1. The spirit of the communities
FLICK is a caring space for the LGBTQ+ community. Respect others, their identities and their boundaries. A disagreement is not a licence to attack.
2. What is not tolerated
- Illegal content, or content involving minors.
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, incitement to violence or to self-harm.
- Hate speech, in particular LGBTphobia, racism, xenophobia, serophobia, misogyny.
- Disclosure of another person's personal data ("doxxing"), non-consensual sharing of intimate images.
- Sexually explicit content on public surfaces.
- Impersonation, fake profiles, spam, scams, unsolicited commercial soliciting.
- Any attempt to circumvent moderation or to harm the safety of others.
3. The tools at your disposal
- Report: every post, comment, profile or media item can be reported in a single action. Briefly describe the problem where the interface allows it.
- Block: blocking a user prevents any contact between you and makes you mutually invisible.
- Nudity filter: a filter runs on your device and can hide or block sensitive content.
4. How we handle reports
- Reports within a community are weighted according to the historical reliability of the person reporting, in order to limit report abuse.
- When a threshold is reached, the content concerned is removed. Removed content is replaced by a neutral notice and its author is anonymised.
- Authors whose content is repeatedly removed may be muted or banned from a community, temporarily, according to a points scale.
- Media that are the subject of a large number of reports are removed automatically.
- Community moderators and our team may also act manually.
5. Your notification and your right to challenge (Article 17 DSA)
When one of your items of content is removed or your account is sanctioned, you are notified, with an indication of the main reason. You may challenge the decision by writing to [À COMPLÉTER — e-mail de support]. We review the decision diligently and in a non-arbitrary manner, and inform you of the outcome.
6. Reporting illegal content (Article 16 DSA)
Anyone, whether or not they use FLICK, may notify us of content they consider illegal by writing to [À COMPLÉTER — e-mail de support], stating the precise location of the content and the reasons for its illegality. We acknowledge receipt and handle such notifications diligently.
7. Retention
Removed content is anonymised and replaced by a neutral notice. An internal moderation log is kept for a maximum of 12 months, solely for the purposes of moderation consistency and safety.
